Founded 2006 as LabAnimals. Later renamed to The Silverlab Animals in 2011. The band is made up of musicians from varying backgrounds and ages with members who have experienced music in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s as well as beyond the noughties. The initial name was coined in relation to the dayjobs of most of its members being researchers who spent most of the time in labs. The word “Silver” prepended later representing the name of the office room space used for weekly jam sessions.
